Mounting Passenger Floorboard (wood)
Can anyone describe or post some photos on how exactly the wooden floorboard mounts on the passenger side of an early 911? I have a 1970 911E coupe and just got my hands on one of these missing boards. I can see how the top of the board slides into the little insert on the front wall. How does it mount to the floor?
Thanks for any help, Best, Alex |

Passenger or drivers side? I can take some pics and post tomorrow.
The top should fit into a slot, and there should be a tab that sticks up from the floor that has a bolt in it that you attach to...

Passenger Floorboard (Wood)
Hi - It's the passenger side I'm interested in. And it's the bottom section where I must be missing a part or something. Any pictures would be very appreciated.

The bottom fastens like the driver's side--there is a metal piece that is used to clamp the bottom to the floor via a small fixed bolt and nut. Look to see you have a metal piece attached to the floor with a bolt/stud extending from it, like on the driver's side. You may be missing the metal clamp part that is bolted to the fixed floor piece and clamps the whole thing together. It looks like the one on the driver's side.

Here's a picture of how it should look, borrowed from an early thread:

Thanks for the pictures
Thanks so much for the responses and pictures. It looks like I'm just missing the metal plate that secures the bottom of the board. Anyone have any ideas of where to get one of those? I could make something to work but it would be nice to have the right piece.
Thanks again, Best, Alex |

Try a Porsche dismantler, or post in the classifieds on this site.

That's what I'd do, assuming it's not a concours car.

You could also buy a nice one from rennline, shipping might kill it though.
