Help with front mounted cooler
I am very interested in a car that has a strange kind of (RUF style ?) looking bumper, from what the seller tells me it has a front mounted cooler, I can see it in this pic.
What i would like to do is take this back to original Impact bumper. Is this possible, would this type of cooler fit under a stock impact bumper ? Thanks ![]()

Not many coolers if any will fit under an impact bumper. The f/g "covers" afford room for them and air flow not much impact protection....not like the stock bumper does much more.
My 3.6 powered SC requires 2 coolers....one in the stock Carrera location in the fender and one up front like shown. Best to ask the seller why the cooler is up there and find out if it can be relocated in the fender, unless there's one already there....

Thanks Mike.
The car has a 3.2 in a Mid year body. It was prepped as more of an AX car. Is it a big job to move the oil cooler ? would I need a smaller one to fit in the wheel well ? Cheers

Complete different animal. I've seen them mounted inside the front trunk and then some mods for underneath bumper for air flow...but a lot of work. Ingo Schmitz did it on his.
