I have same problem on 2000 Boxster. Intermittent whistling from passenger side. Occurs at low speeds, more often when making right turn. Goes away if press or let off accelerator. Volume of sound does not vary. Any thoughts?

front noise

I have exactly the same problem.Have you found the answer? At a constant speed I hear a humm from the passenger front side.If I lift my foot off the gas ever so slightly it goes away and comes back a few seconds or minutes later. From a stop if I accelerate and turn right I hear it.If I turn right without pressing on the gas it does not do it.My mechanic has no idea and it has been like that for a year now.It is just bugging.I believe it is some sort of fuel problem.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

In the 996 I had, it turned out to be the fuel pump starting to go bad... 99% sure its the culprit here.
