problem installing Appbiz RS door panel

Installation went pretty smooth until I tried to install the door lock bezel/knob. It seems that with the thiner panel the knob is too large to push the bezel tightly against the panel. When installed there is lot of play between the bezel and the door panel. I though about grinding the back of the know for it to press the bezel against the panel, but I wonder if I am missing something.

I will appreciate any help.

thanx

door panels

I glued some pieces of foam behind that area which pushed it out enough to be correct.

I used 2 black chip-board washers from the local hardware store that were a slightly smaller size than the lock nob. you can't see them and they do the trick. even if you grind down the back of the nob to the point that there is practically none of the rectangular protrusion left, it will not sit tight. The mechanism was designed for the more substantially foam stuffed door panels.

Look at the OEM door panel, near the lock knob hole on the interior side of the panel is two lengths of foam position perpendicular to each other. Duplicate that and there will be no problem with slack in the lock knob bezel.

Also, I don't know what, if anything, you did about door speaker holes, but the center of the speaker holes on the door itself and the center of the speaker holes on the replacement panel may not be perfectly aligned.....

thanks to all of you for inputs. I guess foam will make the trick, then
