A couple of front end questions?
I was doing some maintenance on my 89 911 and came across a few items in need of repair. The front tow hooks are pretty well mangled from my lowered car. What have others done? I am tempted just to cut them off since I never use them, but they do offer some "protection" for the front valance rubber. I tried an aftermarket one, (I think Rennspeed?), but those stuck down even further and got bent up in short time. I think a reinforced version of the original one wouldn't be bad if someone is making one.
The hoses to my brake coolers are deteriorating. These ones are made by AJ USA years ago. They are 2.5" hoses. What have others used? I guess some SCAT hosing would work, but I don't need the heat resistance. Thanks ahead. |

Too sturdy a tow hook could result in a damaged tub. I suggest hammering the tow hooks flat and spray painting them. They'll be flat in a week anyway. If they're really mangled, get some plate and fabricate a new "hook" portion.
As for the brake cooling hose, there are many sources. I typically have to replace mine about once a year.
