Alien Targa top sited at Hershey
Hi,
Not really, but judging from the research I have done so far, I may not be far off. I was able to get to this years swap meet at Hershey today. There was a viper green targa with a smoke glass (or other material) there. I have heard about these tops but have never actually seen one until now. I personally think that they are cool. Now the question is simple! Where would I get one if I wanted one. I do not want to have to sell a family member to buy one, but if someone knows of one for sale or where I might look for one, I would greatly appreciate the information. Thanks, tim ![]() |

Watch EBay and the usual porsche sites, they come up (very) occasionally. As I recall they usually go for around $1500.00 if they are in good condition.

HI,
Thanks, that must be where I have seen one before!! $1500, wow!! You would think that this would be something that was more readily available. Will keep my eyes open. Tim |

Targa top........
Quote:
Tim, The green targa (long hood) you have seen has the Saratoga hardtop. I was also looking at it and impressed on the quality of the hardtop. They are expensive and hard to find. Tony |

They leak like sieves, have wind noise, will bake you in direct sunlight....besides from being expensive, they are fine.....

I figured that there must be more to them than just their good looks! Too bad as it seems like it would be a good idea. Maybe if some engineered them better, they might have a good product. Would others buy them if they were available at a reasonable price?

No problem, I'll just turn on the imaginary AC.
