Hershey - 1235 miles later
Well I finally made it to Hershey. The last few years something has always come up - weather, job, family matters, etc but not this year. I kept checking the weather and took the plunge. I was able to get a $67 room at the Holiday Inn Express a the last minute and off I went, with my wife riding shotgun. 600 + miles and 10 hours later we were there. Had a great meal a the Warwick Hotel and enjoyed a couple glasses of a local microbrew; Arrogant Bastard. My wife felt the name was appropriate. I am still not sure what she meant.
Saturday was great. We got there at 7:30 and spent almost 5 hours walking, looking ans scouring for parts. Found a few things and left a few on the "gotta find" list. Met a few Pelicans and just enjoyed the 72 degree, sunny day. If nothing else my desire to get my '88 finished was renewed. The trip home was OK until we hit the "Tornado watch" about an hour out. It's time to get out into the garage and install a few of my purchases. I'll be calling my tranny guy tomorrow to press him to finish the LSD install so I can put the tranny back in. Here are a couple photos from a memorable day. ![]() ![]()

Enjoyed it as well. It's my first. Mine's only a 350 mile round day trip. Nice 914 shot! I wonder how long this guy took.
