B&B exhaust muffler straps

Anyone know where to get straps that would work for a B&B 2 in 2 out exhaust for 84? I see straps on our host site, but they are for factory mufflers. Will those work? It looks like the straps would need to be longer?

Measure it - with a rope or something - then either buy from mcmaster carr - or go by a west marine and get the right size SS clamp.

Seriously...

Nothing really special about them - except cost if you get them from B & B or Porsche.

I just did one with two right side muffler bands from Carrera.

I've ended up with a couple goofy muffler combos on my car. I've used the Make-A-Clamp system for a number of odd ball things that need clamps. You cut the strap to length and then hook in the ends which have a pretty conventional hose clamp worm drive to them.

The 4000 kit gives you 8-1/2 feet of strap an 3 sets of ends.

B&B didnt return my e mail request for a hanger for the Carrera muffler so I made something myself. I used their link on the page, got nothing....

When I needed a strap I called them. Surprisingly helpful but not cheap.

Take a measurement with a tape measure or string and then go to Home Depot, Lowes or any store like that. They have all sizes of stainless steel band clamps in the plumbing/heating departments. I have two M&K mufflers that I'm using two straps each and they have worked fine for years now. Every once in a while I check them for tightness but rarely do they have to be tightened.

Or just make your own from strip stainless.

Luckily B&B said they would warranty the strap, just gotta send them some pics.
