mikeA I;ve got a 91 964 coupe and I used to fret about the little buzzing sound from the climate control, but I long ago gave up trying figure out what it was. Now my clock buzzes like a banchee, but I'm getting used to that as well... good luck

My '90 C4 does the same song as well but never noticed it before. I thought it was the C4 stuff making sounds.

When trying to find a rattle on the dash of my 88, I stuck my hand into the blades of a small fan behind the ashtray. Turns out on my year at least (it was not on the 86 I checked out) there is a fan the moves air across the temperature sensor (the strange grill next to the temp controls). It makes a slight hum when the key is in the on position.
