Hi i am looking to buy a 1987 Porsche 911, the owner has the owners manuals where can i tell him to look for the option codes? He says its a factory wide body, how can i confirm this, also where can i find the paint code, the car is white. Does 186 mean anything?

Have him check under the trunk bonnet/hood. I think you can google for the option codes - I haven't found a comprehensive list. Paint code will be on the same sticker as well as the passenger side trunk wall.
