46mm Webers for 68S Historic Racer

I just finished up a Level 3 remanufacturing and restoration effort for the 46mm Webers currently on Eberhard Mahle's 1968 911S Sport Kit 2 equiped historic racer which is maintained by Ben Kirchner @ Retro Sport in Berkely, CA. The reason for this post is to alert those in need of progression circuit modification for your Webers that I can help. (I also convert 40's into 46's using my process or into 42's if these are more to your liking.)

The carbs came to me with a Jerry Woods modification of the progression circuit which was essentialy a little pill insert into the well under the progression port plug, the pill having a vertical slit to meter out fuel, progressively. The customer desired to revert to the 3-hole progression which is what I provided using my technique of converting 40's into 46's. I also removed studs and lead plugs before refinishing everything. Check out the photos.

Cheers,

Paul Abbott
