mounting an optima battery
A funny thing happen when I tried to mount an Optima battery in my 1980 SC-nothing! The optima has no provisions to be mounted like a regular battery. I'm a decent fabricator so I can make something, but I rather drive the car than spent half a day reinventing the wheel and fabricate a new mount. HELP! I was hoping someone out who's done it could give me an idea where to start or share what they've done. Thanks!

Yes, Weltmeister makes an adapter that is made to bolt on the the bottom of the battery and then fit in the battery hold down clamps like a larger sized battery would. I'm sure you can make it if you want. Most vendors like Pelican sell them for around $30.
