Another oil cooling thingamob (not collar)

Would this kinda device help to flow more air through the oil cooler? Wondering should I try making (Yes yes, Zen is "doing" it again) one.

Its not a cool collar but the air flow under the car should pump the air through this device therefore helping the air flow faster through the oil cooler. Most of the air is flowing through the cylinder fins so this thought came up.

If you are refering to the engine mounted cooler, which IS mounted near the heater blower, then the engine cooling fan is already blowing large volumes of air through it at all times. If you are reffering to a front mount cooler, which ISN'T near the heater fan, than the distance and small duct size will prevent any meaningful amount of air from passing through the cooler.

The front mounted cooler NEEDS large volumes of air, which means big holes and/or big fans.

Yes, I am referring the engine mounted cooler. The airflow is "noway" directed solely to oil cooler and because of the small fins on the oil cooler this auxiliary air device would create a vacuum under the engine fitted oil cooler and therefore would create a more powerful blow through the fins on the oil-cooler.

Most of the air coming through the fan goes through the finned outer surface of cylinders.

Garage
Could this draw enough additional volume of air to actually increase cooling?

What if cooling air was "scaveneged" from the fins on the cylinder barrels?

Doesn't a decent oil cooler keep a check on oil temps anyway, there are numerous improvements to be made (better cooler, electric fan etc..) to the existing oil cooler. Assuming you have one fitted.
