Late seatbelts in an early car?
Will 80s Carrera seatbelts fit in a 73? Is the receiver the same?

try seat belt solutions I had a set rebuilt by them and they did a great job. That way you could keep the 73 set up

Thanks guys. Pep belts are $160. SBS are $125.
the advantage of PEP is the entire unit is new. it's really that my passenger side is annoyingly catchy and hard to pull out. I've got plenty of spares from parts cars, but thought newer, or new would be a better way to go.

Male and female Receivers are different. They even changed in the middle of SC production. Changed in '80, I think. |

all good to know, thanks. If I don't just install one from the shelf, I'll probably go with the PEP. good peace of mind that it's a new component that probably passed stricter regulations than the ones in my 73. of course that reel has German engineering in it so I can see the value of re-webbing.

Does anyone know if the PEP ones will latch in the early (1970 in my case) recepticles? I also need to do this but want to keep the old school latches.

I went with PEP in my '70 and they worked great.
New seatbelts in an old car? Somewhere I've got a thread showing photos of them, but I can't seem to find it. If I do, I'll post a link. Edit: Found it! New seats are in!
