Laurie, love to see pics of your build. In a separate thread as to not hijack this one. We are also building a 3.4 DD for my daughter. We are starting with a 76 and doing a back date as well. My daughter also TIG welds with a finger trigger.

Hey Jon, does your 66 912 have 3 or 5 gauge cluster? Cuan and I just picked up a really early 3 gauge 912 and a really rough 66 912

Kenny,
Thank you for the photos of the torch. Yes, that makes sense. I recently purchased an old Miller Synchrowave 351 from my employer after they upgraded production welders. The price was too good to miss. It has more settings than I can understand at the moment. It also has pulse control and a water cooled torch. But, only foot control. I need welding lessons! Jay |

Funny, just saw this thread and I was going to comment on the cage (1st page) looking fantastic except for the single door bar.. Now it would take a hit from an Abrahms tank!

Apologies if I over looked this in the thread, but mind sharing details on the wheels?

wheel link
Sorry about that. The wheels are from here.
ET Wheels by Team III Wheels He can make any width/diameter/offset you want. We went with 18's due to the front spindle height of the JRZ's. It was tough to tell if the 17's were going to work.(they will). Their a little heavy but fit the build perfect. Kenny |

Will start a thread as soon as I figure out how o get photos up. I think I have concluded that it can't be done from my iPad which means I have to screw around with myold PC. If anyone knows better ( ie how to do it from an iPad) feel free to PM me.

We have the 3 gauge dash on our 912. This was the standard config for the low budget car of the time and 5 were an option, if I remember it right.
