RSR Wheels

I hope this is not an inappropriate post for this particular board, but I happened across a local Craigslist ad for original Fuchs RSR wheels. I just looked to see how much cash I happened to have in my pocket, and I'm just short of the $9500, so I'd have to hit a cash machine or something.

PORSCHE RSR Fuchs alloy racing wheels 9x15, 11x15

Who is making matching tyres for those anymore? I ran into a company that was making the front tyre because of the Lambo crowd still insisting on production, but,,,

Honestly, I think he is about 5k over in price.

Exactly. That's why - in his ad - he doesn't even show the 11s with tires on them. Unobtanium.

I've got $10 I'll chip in if you pay the rest.

Michelin makes a TB15 series tire with vintage tread patterns and a couple options for the rears but not many for the front.

Wonder if 225/50/15 would fit on the front 9x15s? Several options in that size.

TB15s are available for both wheel sizes, though that's likely the only suitable rubber one will find for those awesome wheels. Hell, even having one of the 11s with a piece of glass on top of it and a tire would look awesome in my living room...

Classic TB15

would the 23/62-15s fit on the front or would you go with the 18/60-15s?

When I was looking at sizes for my 11x15s, I found that avon had a few different options as well.

These are wicked. They are probably a horrible ride. But they would change a look of a 930,, in a serious wet-dream kind of way.

Actually those Michelins have VERY good ride quality and they stick like glue in the corners!

BTW, thanks for giving my ad more publicity

I have upped the anty a bit with some steel RSR flares on the early S reg site...

Summit Racing sells all sorts of 15's
Mickey Thompson's company is still pumping them out for the 'T' bucket and high-boy crowd.

Those belong to Chris Nielsen. They are beautiful wheels and worth every penny.

Whatever works. Are those unavailable? Can a person order fronts and rear TB15's still if they needed them?

They look like slicks.

Try Hoosier racing tires. Great selection of 15 inchers.

I have a set of AVONs on a car I acquired last year. The previous owner paid $11K for the set of wheels - they are unobtainium and are flawless. This car is hidden in the Pelican warehouse and will make it's debut hopefully in 2010 or 2011 with the Vasek prototype engine installed in back.

Yes, I will put lots of pics of the conversion process when we start on it. I'm also about to start on a new 959 project, pics and details coming soon. Just stuck finishing up all of this Boxster stuff. 100+ tech articles going up on the web tonight!
