911 on Wheeler Dealers Tuesday night

It's a repeat but I haven't seen it aired in quite awhile. Tuesday night on HD Theater.
It's a British show where the guy buys a "classic clunker", fixes it up a little, and then sells it on for a "profit" (I've never seen them come close to making a profit if you consider even $5/hr for the mechanic. Poor Ed.)
Anyway, two 30 minute episodes back to back and there's always a little insight into the quirks of the specific model they're working on. Plus it's fun to watch the 6 foot plus mechanic squeeze into the car to bring it in.

Is it the green targa? If so ya, that ones old. I do like that show but you're right, never can a profit be actually made.

Episodes are available on YouTube for those who don't want to wait or don't receive "HD Theater".

The one thing I like about these guys, they're selling you nothing. As compared with powerblock or like shows, which aren't even sound mechanically safe or beneficial products sometimes- it's more like watching HSN. Mike and ed, however, is straightup mechanics. Yeah
they miss the mark sometimes, but handsdown the best show on tv. Period.

I love the show but the disappointment of seeing old rusty lugnuts on new MG wheels was where they miss the mark. And they do miss that mark regularly. Still, it is a great show. Too bad not more of the same ilk.

+1 on the show

And Ed is the best part of the show, I watch just to see how much crap he will take from the host. If they ever end the series they should let Ed take off after him

I am also waiting for one of the "premier" example owners to rip the hosts a$$ for thrashing there babies around as he does.

But thats what make it the best show on cable ..............

It's a great show with great British humor. Those who nitpick miss the point, which is not to make the cars perfect, but to spruce up the vehicle to a nice looking and performing used car.

i love the show and have seen every episode. sometimes they do good, occasionally i want those 30 mins of my life back, but i always get a good laugh out of something in each episode like how mike can't decide if porsche has one or two syllables.

I like this show, but unfortunately, the 911 episode isn't one of the better ones. They spend a lot of time ridiculing the bumperettes in the rear and change them out them out. Can't remember the other stuff they do on this episode, but it wasn't exactly eye-opening.

There is a good transmission guy on that episode. Then there is a owner of a nice SC that states something like ( you have to watch out for white foam in the oil from the coolant)!!!! Don't know about that???

LOL. I saw that, too. He was interviewing a local "Porsche expert" who was telling him what to look for during a PPI. "If you notice white foam on the oil filler cap, that's a sign of a blown head gasket" (as he's looking into the bonnet of his own 911).
