Quick tranny assembly question??

I'm almost done and want to make sure that the pin goes in the right way and doesn't fall in. Their is a thick end and a tapered end. is this positioning correct? thanks Doug

This is the pin that goes into the top of the tranny cover and pushes into the reverse gear unit. I cant find any material explaining which end goes into the tranny? Both ends are quite different. thanks again for looking. Doug

if you put the thick end to the switch, it jambs in there and the reverse lights stay on.
