Vent window seal?
 

I'm just refitting the window frame to one of my doors and I'm not sure where the small (10 inch) vent window seal goes. It looks to me that it should go between the frame and the door on the outside below the small "vent" window. Is this correct?

Can you post a pic? I think you're on the right track. It keeps water from running into the door cavity at the base of the "vent." There should be a separate sweep at the main window glass that bumps this piece. Why there are 2 for each door, who knows.
