Genuine Undercoating

I jumped into a restoration of a '69 911E Coupe. I read a lot of topics but i can't find a 100% sure answer to the following questions:

1. How did the undercoating looked like? It was sprayed with Würth Stone Guard and painted to the body color? Or to black? Or grey?
2. What about the wheel wells? Würth then repaint to body color? or black?
3. The engine compartment? Body color? Or black with Würth?

I really want to make a 100% genuine like restauraton.

I don't know when they started painting the wheel wells the color of the car, but here are photos of my 73 with the wheel wells in the original paint. The bottom also has some white on it as well.

My 70T has the horrible gray undercoating, wish it had been painted, but then again, it would probably be in a rust heap. Is there anything available like the original undercoating for touch up? I could use about a quart. Thanks.

Garage
I am in the process of restoring my 71T and have been doing alot of reading. For my car, the engine and wheel wells have the grey undercoating and are painted black. most of the trunk has undercoating and is painted the body color. The bottom of the car has undercoating and has no paint.

Hope this helps.

Ah.. This is the 4th version i heard.... So the wheel wells have a stin black paint over the undercoating. The engine bay is fully sprayed with the same undercoating (Würth Stone Guard?) and it's painted to black too. The trunk area is around half undercoated (i can see a horizontal line in the trunk. Over this line the trunk is just painteed, under it it's undercoated). But the whole is painted to body color. And the body undercoat is in the color of the original undercoating (grey). Am i right?
