1987 911 Carrera Tach Pin Wiring
I am in dire need of the pin wiring assignments for a 1987 Carrera Tach Motronic pin assignments. I can not locate my manual so I am hoping someone on the board can give me the needed information so I can complete my wiring and fire the car. The four wires I am interested are the wires from the DME (black and black/violet, black for key power, and brown for ground; the other wires also involved are gray, green, and another black one.
I really need to know the pin assignments for each at the back of the tachometer along with the wiring assignments: One black is for key power ???? Which pin? One black is for DME #11 Which pin? One black/violet is for DME #21 Which pin? One brown is for ground Which pin? One gray wire Which pin and what is it for? One green wire Which pin and what is it for? Any help is greatly appreciated since I want to complete the wiring this weekend. I have ordered another manual but will not get it in time. Thanks, Steve Hurt |

1987 911 Carrera Tach Pin Wiring
I wish to acknowledge Jim who has gone out of his way to provide me with electrical drawings of the area where I really needed help. He did not have to provide anything but he came to my assistance when it was needed.
I normally do not ask for help except when really needed. based on the info provided by Jim the car is wired and is ready to come to life. Thanks, Jim!! Jim's action speaks very highly of the type of person he is and the type of people that belong to Pelican Parts. I have purchased alot of parts from Pelican and it's members, but I never expected to need and receive urgent information to help me. I think this is the very reason I belong to and enjoy doing business with Pelican, it's employees, and it's members. Thanks again, Jim!!! Steve Hurt |
