Maybe Clutch Issue?

Question.....

The clutch on my 88 Targa was replaced 1.5 years ago. Everything. (Sach's) Very reputable shop.

It seems that now, upon release, and turning a corner there is a slight vibration. Nothing major, just something I notice. No slipping, no issues, just a slight vibration or buzzz under your feet.

Believe me, the car is not abused, sure it is exercised,....not drag raced.

Currently 122,000, zero issues, tight as a Targa can be, excellent car. Hel* maybe it's me.

Idea's?

Thanks
Karl

If it happens when you are turning a corner, my first guess would be CV joints - not the clutch.

When they replaced the clutch did the release bearing, pilot bearing and clutch pressure plate get replaced as well? How is the main shaft bearing on the transmission, did they check it when they did the install?

if the car has positraction, and the gear oil does not have a limited slip additive, then it can growl around corners. try kendall 80/90 GL-5 and add a bottle of kendall's limited slip additive.

Thank you gents. I've been out of touch for a little bit.

Rex,
Checked and verified OK. Thanks for the idea, hadn't considered.

T.Tanner,
According to the receipt, all completed. I've had it back to the owner of the shop and he says it's fine. They have treated me very well and have always done excellent work....hate to think.....

John,
Yes the car does have positraction, and the transmission was recently serviced. (About the time I noticed the "perceived" problem). Maybe that's the culprit. Doesn't really feel like a growl, but could certainly be interpreted that way based on my description.
This will be checked and verified.

Thanks to all again.
