1988 911 Cab Convertible Top Won't Open
Hey Guys,
I am a bit stuck here. I have a 1988 911 cab and until a few weeks ago everything was working great. One morning the drivers side motor on the convertible top stopped working and I cant get the top down. Is there a way to manually open the top so that I cold inspect the connections or if needed replace the motor. Thanks for the help, Andrew |

Do you have a manual for the car? There is a way to lower the top using a lug wrench on bolts in behind the driver or passenger seats....

use a flathead screwdriver to manually open the inoperative motor at the windshield.

Wait - is it the motor that unlatches one side of the top that's not working, or one of the motors that actually LOWERS the top?
