Will a Bursch Muffler and test pipe help me?
I saw a slightly used Bursch muffler and test pipe for sale recently. The price seemed reasonable and I was wondering whether this might offer some performance enhancement without having to go all the way with SSIs. I have an 84 RoW Carrera. Anyone have any opinions/experience?

I have both. Sure does sound cool. The cat acts as a premuffler. Put a bursch and test pipe on and that car is just plain mean sounding.
You'll notice a difference with the bursch I think. Best if you have an accelerometer to make sure. I got some differences just with the Bursch muffler and test pipe... my 0-60 times improved from 6.32 best to 6.18 best over the same stretch of road....unfortunately, I also added a short shifter kit with it, so maybe THAT was the difference. I never tested my weltmeister chip which I added later.
