There was some talk about motor and trans. mounts last week and I thought I had subscribed to the post but I guess I did not subscribe and the search button is NOT my friend.
I have a Wevo short shift kit for my 930 and was reading that its best to change the motor & trans mounts at the same time to get the best performance out of the shifter. The Thread from past had a bunch of people that went Wevo semi solid for the motor and sport mounts for the tranny, am I remembering that properly? |

Dunno which thread you're talking about.
Just pointing out that the subscribing and unsubscribing to threads is something that never seems to work like it should. So it might very well be that you did subscribe but it got lost or unsubscribed or whatever....

On a road car using new stock mounts is fine, or go to the "Sport" mounts our host sells. I would use the Wevo u-joint also, much more precise than the oem one.

For street driving, use the sports mounts for both the transmission and the engine(same part #'s, btw.)
For more of a track day car, use the solids. The WEVO itself is going to be a blessing so you probably won't even notice the new mounts unless yours are shot.

I use the sports. No issues.
