Thinking about having v e r t e x replace broken studs and do a valve job on my SC. Thoughts on them or other recommendations?

That company is a mail order catalog/parts warehouse...they will farm out the work to a local shop. You could do the exact same thing and save the shipping cost. Post your location in the engine rebuilding forum and people there will recommend a good shop.

****** is ok for picking up some parts, but you are better taking it to a shop that specializes in working on porsches not just the parts. Scott Finley in South Miami is very good, busy but great work.

Pretty sure you could do a lot better than Vxxxxx. I got a set of rebuilt calipers from them once and they were a complete joke - bad paint, bent bleed screws, etc. I wouldn't use them for anything, much less a job like this. Find a good shop and work with them directly.

Call Scott or Mike Gokey at German Performance 954 772-6272,.
Spend some money on a cab if you need it, you will save money getting the job done right the first time.
