SSI's or factory Heat exchangers

Heres a question to all of you owners who have made their engines a "hybrid" I have a stock 2.0L engine with Webers that I am going to tear down and rebuild. When I rebuild it I am going to opt for 2.2E pistons & cylinders. My question is should I put one my SSI's or go back to the stock heat exchangers. The reason I say this is that with the 2.0L and SSI"S the car had less bottom end torque but more top end. I would rather have the torque so I am leaning toward the stock exchangers, but with the little extra ponies maybe the SSI's are the ticket. Any thoughts? I'm listening
thanks,

Dean

You've got SSI's? I'd go with them. There has been some debate on this board on whether or not they are identical to factory as to length of the header tubes. But I don't think you'd be able to distinguish between the two with your car, IF there is even any difference. And stainless is better than the mild steel the factory units are made of... Now, if you slip in E cams to go with those pistons & cylinders? Hooboy, you'll notice a difference.
