Removing oil cooler - how much oil?
I've pulled my front bumper to get some paint work done. While I'm here I want to replace all suspect rubber. The oil cooler foam seal on my car is toast so that's gonna be replaced.
It looks like pulling the oil cooler is pretty easy. It's just 3 bolts. However, I'm not sure if I should unhook the oil feed/return tubes to just replace the foam seal. If I unhook the fittings on the short oil cooler lines that hook to the cooler how much oil will come squirting out? I assume it's not under pressure and since the lines run high in the fender I assume gravity will be my friend. 1) Should I unhook them or just leave it hanging while I replace the foam? 2) If I do unhook them will I need to do anything special to stop the oil flow? Thanks!

Never mind. I just dove in and did it.
Very little oil came out. Maybe a tablespoon.

Actually once I pulled the oil cooler out and tipped it over accidentally quite a bit more than tablespoon (full) came out. Quite a bit more
