tired of flat spots on my tires.....

As some of you know, I am a recent convert from a 914/6, 3.0 to a power assisted braking 83 911SC. The mods are Pagid orange pads and power (atom symnbol) slotted discs
front and straight lined double slots on the rear with the same pads.

As you are probably aware 1970s brakes really needed a a firm leg, even
with SC brakes on the 914/6. Now that I have the SC, after five years
with the 914/6 as a daily driver and racer, I find that I am locking up
the fronts WAY too often. Specifically, in autocross and recently in a
small track Time Trial with the low speed corners. I do not have the
problem on the big tracks with the higher speeds.

I am tired of replacing tires and/or dealing with the constant thump,
thump, thump....other than learning to have less foot, or getting
ABS...any legitimate suggestions?

I've been thinking of using a more agressive pad on the rear and/or
adjusting the brake bias.....

Bias valve AND Pad change.
I don't blame your excitement over the tire wear. I too have the problem, but did the bias valve and things are real sweet.

Can you be a little more specific? What did you do to the valve and which pads did you change?
