I don't think we're gonna make it. I ran over a nail and got a flat on the way to work this morning. I just don't have the time to get it fixed before tonight.

If it rains we can just blame it on Bill Sipple and the rest of the folks sitting out at Red Rocks

Hey now! I brought some rain gear in case it does decide to rain on me a little.

That's the spirit Frank - rain or shine the food and beverages will be there too -

I heard we might have some special guests tonight - from the Indy car world ...

I figured I'd leave my professional photo rig at home and enjoy myself, and there were a lot of big, heavy cameras and lenses there tonight, so you'll be seeing some fine art and exceptional shots. But since my cell phone has a crappy camera, I thought I'd give a sneak preview of the show. Enjoy.

The gathering, it was early around 6:

A nice 912

Proof that my car can actually make it more than 10 miles:

It's Colorado, so you're gonna see some ski racks:

Can't wait to see more from those who had real cameras. Quite a show and nice job to the Rocky Mountain Porsche folks who absolutely killed it!

Oh, and a few P cars on 93 back to Boulder, perfect driving conditions with the top off for me and the sun setting over the Front Range. Yeah, the phone takes photos. . .kinda!

Man, this is really making me wish common sense hadn't asserted itself and told me that driving 2600 miles to make it there and back home by Saturday afternoon was a dumb idea. Would have been nice to see an Alberta plate among all those blue and white ones...

So how many cars were there? Surely someone compiled an official tally. Were the officials from Guiness there to certify the record?

Not sure if the Guinness people were there but they sent their beer! We drank all of it.... Great gathering. Nice to see old friends and meet some new ones. The 914 made it home without incident albeit a yet undetermined oil leak from the top-end. Thanks to the RMR people and the Le May museum for hosting a great evening! -John

That was a fun time. I want to thank RMRPCA for doing that. I brought the rat of a '76 by, met some great ppl and learned some interesting things.

Thanks all!

Red? Black front bumper? Massive speakers in back? Stone chips galore on the front hook?

I liked that car, a road warrior.
