An Invtation - Largest Gathering of Porsches in Denver

I've been asked to spread the word - to extend an invtation to all Colorado Porsche owners to bring their pride and joy and enjoy a great meet and greet with your Porsche breathren.

"The Largest Gathering of Porsches in Denver
June 3, 2010
6:00 p.m. till 10:00 p.m.

Let’s Set a Record!

The June RMR Porsche Party is set for its traditional day and time, the first Thursday, June 3 at 6 pm. But that’s where the tradition stops -- the venue and challenge of the gathering could be record-setting.

Here’s the deal; Club Auto Colorado, the Denver home of Lemay - America’s Car Museum, has offered to open its doors and its parking lot to RMR for the evening.

That’s right, a parking lot with 384 spaces. Can we fill the lot? If we do, we’ll have assembled the largest gathering of Porsches, ever, in Denver.

So come early, to get an up-front spot. Because the gathering is sure to be immortalized, in photos and video, and you‘ll want to be able to identify your baby.

That way, you’ll also have plenty of time to drool over the collector cars on display inside the 15,000 sq. ft. facility. It’s one of the finest assemblages of pre-war, post-war, high net-worth and just all around cool cars you’ll find, anywhere.

And, of course, food and drink will be provided.

Check out Club Auto at LeMay Museum > Lakewood, CO.

No excuses for tardiness or getting lost. Club Auto is right off 6th Avenue at Simms.
Just head north on Simms to 8th Ave., turn right and go down a couple of blocks to 11100 W. 8th Ave., Lakewood, CO 80215. We will be filling the east parking lot with all the Porsches. Let all you Porsche friends know about this. Let's set a record!

Thanks,

Erik Behrendsen, RMR-PCA Program Chairman"

Please note that PCA - RMR membership is not required - YOU and your Porsche are ... come and join us for what promises to be a truely great evening.

Willie

They sometimes seem to be "free", but like our cars, it's the hidden costs that kill you!

Wow, this event does sound cool. I'll try to make it in the ratty '75.

So is this shindig limited to Colorado folks? Or perhaps it includes those from far flung locales like... Canada?

Anyone from anywhere that's breathing and has a Porsche. We need Porsches.

Bonus if you bring a free woman actually named Porsche.

Come on down.

I drove my 911 from Denver to Edmonton (for the ’70 CanAm) in 14 hours. I still remember the eyes of the RCMP officer as we passed (oncoming) at a very high rate of closure. Never saw hin again.

Best,
Grady

Kevin, we'd be honored to have you ... should I plan on a longest distance award?

Damn! I'll be driving through on the 11th, heading to Breckenridge. Could you delay this a week, just for me?

Sorry Wavey, we'd love to have you but can't reschedule an RMR event without express intervention from the Pope ...

However ... if you're planning on spending the night of the 11th in Denver ...

The Denver Porsche Breakfast Club will be holding it's monthly get together on Saturday the 12th, at the Village Inn I-25 and Colorado Blvd. About 10 minutes south of the I-25 / I70 interchange.

Usually about 2 dozen + in attendance, many are Pelicans ... Grady frequently joins us.

Starts about 8am runs until the last Pcars leave the lot, about 10:30 or so ... actually you may see more than Porsches since some members own several marques.

We'd be glad to have you join us for some car talk, and to swap stories.

Willie

Are there gonna be t-shirts? Because, you know, I might make it for that...

Actually, the girlfriend is out of town that weekend, so there won't be any (much) static on that front, so I am considering it. After all, it's only 1300 miles or so there. And 1300 back. They're calling for snow in Calgary tomorrow. It's just about time for a valve adjustment but no nuts (for the valve covers, wadja think?), but I do have enough oil and a filter to do a change. Maybe, maybe... What was that thing about God hates a coward?
