1992 964 Price Help and advice
All -
I purchased my last 964 in January of 2005. Ran CarFax prior to purchase and it came back clean. I have since decided to sell the car and I ran the CarFax a few weeks ago to provide to prospective Buyers. The new report shows that in August of 2005 there was an entry added that there had been 'Damage Reported' in 2003 for repairs.... This entry added AFTER I bought the car... I submitted a request to CarFax for investigation and they were very helpful in doing the research, but the conclusion was that 'Sometimes information takes a long time to make it to our database'. In this case over 2 years! Further investigation show that the left front fender was damaged while in a parking lot. The Owner decided to have the fender replaced. Now, my question is this - you can not tell the fender was replaced, it was a very professional job. But, what does this do to the value of the car? As you can see, the car is very nice... Thanks for any advice and input. ![]()

The value of a collector car like a classic 911 suffers from 10-15% devaluation from otherwise completely stock original paint no accident repair examples.
Nice looking from the post. It appears to be a RSA replica except the rear spoiler is body colored and not OEM. |
