100 % needs a respray.

dicklague 05-31-2010 06:59 AM

At least it is NOT a coupe.

Dixie 05-31-2010 07:13 AM

It's a touch Joplinesque.

For comparison, here's Janis' Porsche...

You would never loose your car in a parking lot- Just look for the crowd scratching their heads.

Zeke 05-31-2010 08:48 AM

Well, if it's really a work of art that should be preserved, the car could have new fenders, doors and hoods replaced and hang the art on the wall. Drive a nice long hood Targa and leave the art at the gallery.

MH911 05-31-2010 08:48 AM

It would really look great on a VW bus. But not on a Porsche.

I personally think it looks amazing. I love that style of art. Fact is however, it just does not belong on this car. Hopefully the artist will wise up for his next go around and use a rolling wall such as the VW Bus or something we hold less near and dear to our hearts.

=D

HarryD 05-31-2010 09:22 AM

At least it does not look like all of the other '73's!

It hides the runs and swirl marks!

longhornchris04 05-31-2010 10:47 AM

On a VW Bug, that would be an awesome paint job... on a 911 not so much

DanielDudley 05-31-2010 12:18 PM

I'd happily run that.

s_morrison57 05-31-2010 12:42 PM

I don't care who painted it , thats just not right and Fugly to boot

zippy_gg 05-31-2010 01:49 PM

I would pass on the auction... There is no A/C!!! :D

kidrock 05-31-2010 04:54 PM

Agreed here as well, though that didn't happen with Joplin's 356. I suspect that if either (1) the car had a celebrity owner (2) the artist were better known or (3) someone won races with that as their livery, there'd be a rush to duplicate it on "tribute" cars.
