Clutch is making noise after adjustment
Adjusted clutch this past weekend and now my clutch is making a "spring sound" on the way up from the floor. Anyway to quiet this down? it didn't do it before adjustment and the adjustment was made from under the car. The only thing we did at the pedal box was adjust the stop. Noise is coming from the pedal box.

Somehow the nylon bushing is meeting a new area of the pedal itself; probably not a surprise since you performed an adjustment. Or, possibly, there is some interference between the pedal arm and the wooden footboard, maybe even the rubber stop is creaking as you relieve pressure against it? (Long shot...) Basically you want to make sure it is nothing inexpensive before you go pulling the pedal 'box for a rebuild. What you don't want to do is throw any lubricant down there: this expands the bushings and makes things impossible.
The creaking may simply be old nylon bushings that may or may not be lubricated with water, brake fluid, or otherwise. You may be due for a pedal 'box rebuild. I used the bronze bushings available from our sponsor, but have heard that the original nylon ones, new, can be just as nice. John

brush a little antisieze around the ends of the clutch pedal return spring and give them a small squirt of WD to help flow it in.

Thanks John- That worked perfectly! While I was down there, I loosened the lock nut on the accelerator rod that attaches to the pedal and adjusted it so that my pedal is higher- It feels like I got a little more power now. Is it possible I wasn't getting full throttle before the adjustment? I was able to get about 3/8-1/2 inch out of the adjustment.

have someone hold down the accelerator and see if the throttle is fully open. the pedal should be at it's stop w/full throttle or the lever in front of the pedal will be stressed and could bend, causing it to get caught under the lip of the tunnel, and holding the RPM up real high. older cars had this happen a lot.
