removing rear wiper from 78-89 coupe

What is involved in removing all traces of it, (bar the wiring obviously)

What do you do with the hole that is left behind?

Flat black rubber plug worked for me.
Canadian Tire? Lordco? Napa?

just plug the hole in the engine grill and leave it at that? there is no body work involved though right?

I should have been clear at the start, I'm still searching for a car and some of the cars I come across have a rear wiper. Its not a feature I want and so I'm just wondering how easily and cleanly it can be removed.

Thanks for the reply.

If you plan to ditch the rear wiper, I would love to add one to my 86 Carrera Are you interested in selling?

I removed mine (unsightly) long ago. Found a perfect plug (59 cents) from Ace Hardware.

Made use of the console switch to engage the front oil cooler fan at will.

Car looks better without this wiper,..and it certainly isn't necc'y (unless, of course you live "round lotsa' snow...?)

Cheapest Porsche part I ever bought (that rubber plug from Ace).

Best,

Doyle
