Help with seat belt mounting points for early 911

I have the 4 point harness pictured below and also a guide bar that runs between the targa bar on my 1970. The top rear of the harness is routed over the guide bar and then the two mounting points on the harness are attached somewhere in the back of the car, probably the existing rear seat belt mounting points. My problem is the carpet is covering any existing (if any) rear seat belt mounting points. I hate to drill any unnecessary holes in my car if I don't have to.

My questions are:
1) Were rear seat belts an option on early 911's or do all 1970 911's have a total of 4 mounting points for the rear seat belts? If so where are they located?

2) Anybody know where the 2 front mounting points for driver and 2 mounting points for passenger seat belts are located? I would assume there must be some type of mounting points on the tunnel where the original seat belt receiver was bolted to but where is it?

3)Where would they be (if any) on the left drivers side between seat and door and the same place on passenger side? Any help is appreciated.

All 911's had rear seat belt points installed. If you look under the carpet, you will find the threaded holes.

This picture gives you an idea of where they are:

They are part of the seat. You should see a small "ear" on each seat base. You need an extraordinarily short bolt to hook the belts to the seat.

This thread may be helpful: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/337668-question-73-911-owners.html

This is typical of the four points on the two seats:

I would add that I would think long and hard about using the factory points for the lap belt sections. Starting in 1974, these points were moved off the seat and to a stronger location. Consulting with a local race shop that specializes in early 911's may be worthwhile.

Thank you Harry for the pic and the link. Your search abilities on this forum are obviously better than mine as I did not find that thread.

Glad to help.

What is your intended use of the harness?

If it is for De/competitive events, you need to verify that the group(s) you will be running with will accept the 4 point harness.

The red Schroth Rallye 4 Harness in the picture above are the ones in my car (same as the ones you are proposing to use) and are not acceptable for use at PCA DE events.

I don't track my car anymore. It is used strictly for street use. When I bought my car it had no seat belts in it at all so I weighed my options and decided on the guide bar and the Schroth Rallye 4 setup. My setup is exactly as yours is in your picture except I have the original 1970 style sport seats in my car. I see my seats have the mounting points for a very short bolt on each side of the seat. Harry, you indicated in previous post and advised not to use the mounting points on the seats for the lap belt sections. Where do you have the 2 lap belts mounted in your '73.5T? Did you drill a hole in the tunnel and another one between the seat and door somewhere? Thanks.

My adapter plates have a set of "ears" attached to create mounting points.
