disassembling lock mechanism - 72 911
 

How does this come apart?

It's the lock mechanism from the driver side door of my 72. I got it out of the door, but I need to disassemble the pawl (the part that sticks through the door) and I can't figure out if that slotted piece with the ring around it is pressed onto a shaft or what.

The sleeve for the pawl broke loose from the rest of the bracket and I need to weld it back. I'm hesitant to do this with it still put together as I don't want to melt anything important.
