Carrera emblem reinstall

Hello. I tried doing a search but couldn't find anything. I am looking to reinstall the Carrera emblem on my decklid. I was thinking about using epoxy. Is this the way to go or should I try something else.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,
I certainly wouldn't use epoxy. It would be permanent and also is very difficult to remove if you've gotten some of it where you don't want it. I'd try a 3M general adhesive. Or if you feel froggy try cutting 2way tape to the script.
Good luck!

The new emblem has two sided tape on it.

Use the real stuff...
3M Automotive Attachment tape
It's thin and works great.

I have some left over from my Mustang build
PM me and I can get some to you.

Obviously epoxy is a horrible idea, but you're not doing that so ok.

Double sided tape is good, that's the factory way.

But on mine, I epoxied thin magnetic strip material (cut to fit in the grooves) to the back of the emblem. On the back of the emblem, if you remove the factory double sided tape, you are left with a groove that thin mag strips fit in perfectly. Nothing special, just stuff you can get at any local hardware store.

That way, when I wax I can take it off completely. Or, sometimes I run without the emblem at all for a "cleaner" look.

I picked up some 3M emblem and plastic adhesive from Advanced Auto. Worked fine.
