Is there any fixing this hole in my AC condenser?
After trying to re-charge my AC system with some R-134, I discovered a leak in my AC condenser, coming from the damage spot pictured:http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1276477055.jpg
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1276477073.jpg The damage is obviously from years of the condenser hitting the ignition coil that's mounted on the fan; I bought the car with it already looking like this. But I never knew there was a leak before because, although the AC has always been very weak, I never got around to trying to re-charge it til now. And as soon as it was freshly filled with R-134, I could hear the hiss of the leak.<p> So, is this fixable? JB Weld maybe? The can of refridgerant says it has "leak stopper" in it, but there's no way it's plugging that hole. Any suggestions? Thanks! |
