Engine rubber surround orientation Hi, can anybody please tell me which side is up? The long piece can be angled up or down, which is correct? It also has a portion cut out on one side. Should this be up or down. thanks, Joe |

pretty sure the long side goes up that's how I've done mine, so it can flap over the sheet metal in the bay and form a complete seal. It's a royal pain and a lot of installers don't bother with this step once they get close to lighting it up again. Bill K |

Thanks, anybody else? From the pictures I have seen it appears that is is more pointing down. |

It should be installed angled down, and after the engine is in the top "flap" should rest above the engine sheet metal, and the lower "flap" should be against the outboard edge of the sheet metal, pointing down. |

Thanks, much appreciated. Engines going in tomorrow. |

 Down baby down. |

dough! that might explain why I have to keep wrestling the top one over the engine bay sheet metal every thousand miles or so. thanks Peter Bill K |
