Post Someone got a great deal on ebay!

I wasn't paying close enough attention and missed out on the final bidding for this one...

Check it out, 1999 Porsche : 911/Carrera Coupe for $44,850!!!!!

I wonder whether the winning bid was an actual third party, or whether the dealership (using another ebay account) won the bid so it didn't have to let the car go for that much below market value. They'd still have to pay the ebay commission, but they wouldn't have to sell the car for so much below market value.

I noticed you can't check the buyers identity, interesting, don't you think? There has to be a catch. No one would let a car go for ten of thousands below its wholesale value $60-65K? Or maybe the bottom is falling out of the 996 market. This car is getting alot of competition (new M3) for less money. I would not be surprised to see 996's in a few years really drop. Maybe some of us will but them them. What the hell will we talk about? Doesn't sound like there is a whole lot to do on these cars but take it to a dealer and "assume the position"!
