From a 1970 911 T apparently - very heavy, like its filled with lead.

That looks like the sunroof motor since there are wires hanging out of it.

DUnno - can you transcribe some of the part numbers and post them here?

Was guessing some sort of RF component until you said it was heavy.

Is that a coax cable?

Those 4 tabs could be bent back and you could de-lid it (- watch out - I always rip stuff open).

Looks like a sunroof motor that rubber hose is actually a drive shaft. I bet if you hook it up to 12vdc it will start rotating that drive shaft. reverse the polarity and it will run backwards.

Forget the "looks like", it IS a sunroof motor... (I"ve had mine apart more times than I care to remember...)
