Sorry to hear this. I know what it is like, because I have hit two deer in the past couple years. Get this: The other day my wife hit a turkey that flew out of the bush! $1000 damage and the thing didn't even taste good.

Just to be quite clear: my response had to do with the photo,..not your predicament ...no insults or humor intended...

Best to you,

Doyle

"Coulda gone under a moose without damage..." hahahahahahahahaha
All I can add is, "Oh, deer." Sounds like all will be well, though, so good! Here you were at the wheel:

When you hit a deer, there's usually deer hair on your car. Make sure you don't wipe it off before the adjuster sees it. That makes it and open and shut comprehensive claim.

i'm sorry to see this.
would the owner mistakenly order a replacement fender, save money to replace the bumper with a plastic bumper, the owner decides to balance out the rear...all so far by mistake, and somehow you come out with a 930 look?
I just wanted to ask since some pelicans here took the route of making "mistakes" from such damages.

It was going through my mind on the way to the repair shop.

That sucks Wayne.... We have deep ditches with deer jumping out of them where I live too. I worry every time I ride my bike to work about one of these overgrown rodents jumping out in front of me.

Adams on King Road between Angola and Hill... it's a good place to let out my frustrations on lunch hour.

I'm guessing this deer was born there and is either deaf or just used to gunfire. The thing hardly even flinched the whole time I was there.

The claim has been processed and parts are ordered. $5200.00!!!

I should probably thank the deer as my car will look better than it did.

The other slippery slope:

I asked the shop to touch up a spot of surface rust and section of the driver's door that the PO had burned with a buffer in addition to the deer repair.

3 phone calls later-both doors and the rear quarters are getting paint as well as the new parts. ugh.

They found some rust bubbles on the doors and thought it would be best to get it taken care of now and they will have an easier time without having to blend the new paint on the doors with the old on the quarters.

Wifey was pretty thrilled when I told her about the increase in out of pocket cost. (Coincidently, she had her annual review today and recieved a 10% pay increase.)

I'll be afraid to drive it after I get it back.

You have it backwards... now that the paint is nice, you're supposed to drive it more!!!

It's back!!!

Picked it up this afternoon and I am extremely pleased with the work done. The shop did a fantastic job getting the color match and repairing the damage. The other flaws I had them fix are just icing. It probably doesn't look much different but the spots that have bugged me for years are gone.

Enjoy-
