What spacers for 7x15 wheels under SC flares

I hope to have SC flares welded onto my 73 next weekend. I'm running 225/50/15s on 7x15 cookie cutters in the rear and want to pull the wheel out from inside the well. Right now they just tuck up inside the narrow body quarters with a lot of negative camber.

I've got longer studs to install and 1/4 inch spacers from another project, but am thinking I could add at least 1/2 inch and up to 1 inch to really fill-up the arch.

Anyone done this?

I went with 21mm rear spacers and 72mm studs. there turbo spacers and fill out the wheel wells good with no rubbing.

I think I have 66mm studs to put in but can probably pick up some 72s on Classifieds.

Your 7's are et23 I would guess...8's are et11 or so. The 8's are a 1/2 inch less offset and a 1/2 inch increase in width on the outer edge.

So...a 1" spacer would put the outer edge of your 7's in the same place the outer edge of 8's would be. And we know 8's look good!

Thank you Todd. Yes, 7" cookies are et23. A 1 inch spacer sounds great and I don't mind grinding/rolling the flare lip.

Would you know if someone like Weidman could weld-up 8s out of cookie cutters, they being cast wheels? Of course tire selection is nil, but that would be an excellent wheel for my car. Have also looked at these Campagnolo wheels.

that's what mine looks like (only mine is the correct blue!!) The 72mm studs are a little long maybe 68mm would be better. But i'm using steel lug nuts for that "R" look!

Thanks for the pics! that's what I'm going for.

So it's possible I could just use my 66s and labor changing studs vs. a bolt on spacer. How difficult was it to get the old studs out? I imagine new studs going in were just socket over stud and C-clamp. What did you do?

Had 1.25" real hubcentric spacers w/ long studs and 7x16 Fuchs on my SC.

Was perfect, exactly like 8x16 Fuchs.

sorry, i was a little mistaken on my spacers. they are hubcentric, but they are 28mm, not 23, so 1.1" total spacing.

Here's a 1 inch spacer with the SC flare on. bad pic, won't be able to get the other flare on until August unfortunately. Work always gets in the way of fun.
