Struggling to come off idle
Hi guys need some advise ...
Im having some trouble ,Iv a 71 911 running 40T Zeniths ,this will be the 1st time iv had the engine running as my project was minus a motor when I started .. almost 2 yrs on and finaly the motor and tranny is all in . This is the problem just managed to fire it up and after some small adjustment as per settings in the haynes manual iv magaged to get it ticking over at about 1200rpm though if I apply some gas it really stubbles and dies out and will not revout as soon as I releasethe gas the car then ticks over perfectly untill i I hit the gas again..heres what Iv done so far.. Stripped and cleaned carbs . Removed all jets and blown through. Blocked the enrichment/vacume unit though have only disconnected the enrichment solionid. New plugs Running a fucet fuel pump though no regulator Have noticed that the plungers are only squirting on no1 and no6 cylinder and 2 of the seem to be leaking slightly . It seems that the Zeniths are only running 4 idle jets with the position where the other 2 go are missing ?? when I undo the idle jet running improves and will rev slightly higher though still will not rev through ...... Any adeas would be greatfull... |
