Fault codes...3 dead blowers!

Had my 964 in for routine maintenance and asked the mechanic to run fault codes...just for fun. Well, he came back to me with three codes, one for the oil cooler blower, one for the AC condensor blower, and one for a stage 2 blower (what is this?). Could all these blowers be dead and the car still operate perfectly? I checked fuses and the oil cooler fuse was blown. Put in a new 30A fuse and let the car get good and hot...I did not hear any fan kick on near the oil cooler. Temp guage never reached above the midpoint on the guage. I've never had a hi-temp problem. Do these fans just seize up after a time?

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

I think it's highly unlikely that all those blowers failed. I looked in Pelicans wire diagrams and didn't see one for 964's. Maybe that fuse is for all the blowers?
Without a diagram though that's just a guess. If it is you might have already fixed the problem. You could clear the memory drive the car a little and then get another readout. If nothing shows then that was the problem.
To clear the memory disconnect the electrical connector momentarily from the DME. I suppose you could also disconnect the battery to achive the same thing if that is easier.
Also,if your mechanic charges for a readout,I wanted to let you know you can get a readout yourself via the check engine light. If you need that info let me know or you could pickup Haynes Computer Codes Book for about $15 at Pep Boys. It's a great book for the price. It's helped me with every car I have with a computer.
