71 2.2t fuses blowing

The fuse that does the indicators and the handbrake warning keeps blowing......the only thing i can think of (just thought of this in the shower), is that today i replaced the rear lenses...and while is was there is took out the light housing and there was a brown circular spade (thought is was the earth for the housing) so i screwed this to the housing when i put the housing back.....is this right or not?....its the only thing i can think of thats possibly changed ???

Also.....the fuse that does the luggage lights, clock and interior lights also keeps blowing (seperate from above).....the clock does not work neither does the interior lights but the luggage compartment lights do, but something keeps blowing the fuse.....any ideas ??

I HATE ELECTRICS !!!!!!

ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED
