I'd like it either way, but if those hubcaps are in any kind of nice condition, be advised that they are NLA as far as originals are concerned. So, they are valuable. I know, a tire shop ruined mine because they said they had the removal tool and they didn't.

In ten years I've never missed a chance to say a bad word or two to anyone about that shop.

Hubcaps are original. My wife and daughter like them. I've always liked the look of the stock wheels. I took them down to the metal gave them a couple coats of primer then some hot rod wheel finish. It goes on rough but when slightly sanded looks really good. They look new.

Ordered a new Bursh exhaust system from our host. I've had a backfire situation for years always blaming it on plugged idle jets. 99% of the time pulling them out which is a drag exposed some minute silicone bandit. Guitar #10 guitar string and no backfires.

A month or so ago because I've only driven short distances with the shape of the old tires and a cell phone in case of a popper, I get a new loud loud sound.
Inspecting the situation the muffler had detatched from the header feeding it. I'd covered it in the flex exhaust flex tape/insulation 15 years or so ago when the system was new. Low and fricking behold everything below the header insulation was paper thin. Like stick your finger through it.

Time for a new exhaust. I'd go for stainless but omg that stuff is high. I'm willing to spend it on the 930 but, well there are no excuses and I treat the 356 like a stepchild.

Looks great with no caps. Keep them silver, like the early race cars.

That tire width kills me.

Some of the stripper I was using on the wheels burnt a couple holes in the paint. Strarted with 320 and quickly ran into existing paint. I hadn't touched this thing in months because the old tires were so freaking old. Back to work.

To put the chrome trim in on the front windshield the windshield has to be pulled. 15 years ago the very first day my son and I were taking the car on a country drive an oilfield truck kicked up a rock and broke it. It grew and grew as they are want to do. And by god those suckers have doubled in price in 15 years.
