Would '76 rear torsion bars fit a '71?
Hi,
Is there a significant difference between the original '71 rear torsion bars and the '76 ones? (Except thickness) Are these 2 interchangeable? Thanks for your help! Hessel

They are interchangeable. No difference except diameter as you noted.

I don't even think the diameter was different...I thought they were both 23mm?

Make sure you move them side to side, right side to right side.

1965-1977 non-turbo 911's all used 23mm bars in the rear.
