Piston Rings
Hope someone can help - I am currently rebuilding the upgraded engine on my 1980 SC and have run into a problem finding the correct rings. The pistons measure 97.97 mm in diameter and the oil ring is 3.0 mm in thickness, the compression ring slots are set for rings 1.2 mm in thickness. Our host does not appear to carry a ring set to fit my pistons. Anyone know where to get a set?

You have to identify the piston manufacturer in order to get the correct rings... JE is a common on and you need the job # etched underneath the piston.

Call Pelican and see if they can source the rings thru their Mahle source.
